Customized BMW 1 Series M Coupe makes Munich weep

Filed under: Coupe, Performance, BMW, Design/Style

When you own a car, you have every right to customize it as you see fit. There are certain cars, however, that, when customized, will elicit strong reactions from fellow enthusiasts. One of those is the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe. If you're going to customize one, make sure you do it right. That is, do the opposite of what this particular 1M owner did.

We could overlook certain elements of this highly "stylized" 1M, such as the, um... Okay, forget it. There's nothing to overlook. This car is ugly, and there are more pictures of it posted in a Teamspeed.com forums thread, courtesy of user Lambo91.

Thanks for snapping the pics Lambo91, you owe us a bottle of eye bleach.Customized BMW 1 Series M Coupe makes Munich weep originally appeared on Autoblog on Sun, 21 Aug 2011 16:04:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.Permalink | Email this | Comments

Ferrari | coupe | Supercars / Exotic cars | Ferrari 599 | car tuning | Cars | Car Reviews | Ferrari German tuning company, Vorsteiner, has earned quite a reputation for being one of the foremost tuners of Bentley, Mercedes, Porsche, and BMW models. However, on that list, and the many other brands it has worked on, there’s a conspicuous absence of Italian cars.Until now.For the first time in the company’s illustrious history, Vorsteiner is working on a supercar from Italy, one that calls itself the Ferrari 599. The first dalliance between the German tuning firm and the Italian automaker has turned into a shining example of what the former is entirely capable of with just about any vehicle it customizes. The final product is called the 599-VX, which takes elements from the 599 GTB Fiorano and combines it with characteristics derived from the 599 GTO and the 599 XX. The full breadth of details surrounding this program will be unveiled in a week’s time, but it’s worth noting that the package includes, among other things, a new front end, hood, side skirts, rear deck lid, rear intake panel, and a rear bumper with an integrated diffuser. This eight-piece body kit is entirely made of carbon fiber while a new set of lightweight wheels forged from aircraft-grade aluminum adds even more flair to the 599-VX’s profile. We’ll be sharing all the pertinent information of the car when it’s unveiled. For now, you can take a look at some of the preview photos courtesy of photographer, Albert Roxas.
